Farming Careers
A lot of hard work and long hours do not go unnoticed, as this career choice is very rewarding. Watch as seed turns into a quality crop over the open prairie and feel the sense of accomplishment. You can be sure to hear friendly banter over the radio as the farmers work! This unit is very important as we silage our own crop for cattle feed. The farm crew is dedicated to raising the best crop efficiently and as a team.
Feedlot Careers
There is never a dull moment on a Van Raay Paskal Farms feedlot. If you enjoy the outdoors and engaging in a variety of tasks, this is the career for you! Riding horses daily if you are a pen checker, operating a feed truck and feeding the cattle, operating heavy equipment, welding, building and repairing equipment are all part of the feedlot life. Of course, the other part includes, but is not limited to, receiving and shipping, processing, moving and treating the cattle. Teamwork is a must at the feedlot!
Modern feedlot facilities include indoor processing and animal care facilities with chute-side feedlot management software system.
Business Office Careers
In this department, you will hear the friendly voices of our front office answering the phones, booking appointments and taking messages. However, there is much more happening behind the scenes. Our office management, Accounting and Feedlot Administration are always hard at work keeping VRP Farms organized and on track!
